Last day of house arrest for Tommy and Tori. TJ can return to school on Wednesday. I plan to pick up his school work from the teacher Tuesday so he can catch up.
They are still coughing a little and TJ still a tad sore, but other than that I think the worst is over. Thank goodness for anti-viral drugs.
YAY.
Today our cooking creation was some butt ugly homemade ice cream sandwiches. No, I will not post a picture. They were THAT ugly. The kids also had making interesting things with Bendaroos.
Tommy talked me into ‘helping’ him make the dinosaur. An hour and half later… yeh.
And finally… because it made me smile… I leave you with a music video of Vanessa-Mae. Very cool artist.
On a local radio station tonight the DJ had people calling in with requests for things they wanted blown up. K called in and requested that they blow up my van so that Tori could stay here and not move to ’stupid Texas.’
I have to admit it was tweeny funny to hear the DJ do a big explosive sound on the air, loudly inform everyone that K’s best friend was staying in Fairhope and then cue up ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ to seal the deal. Yes, the girls danced around and whooped it up.
So… in honor of K’s radio call going on the air I give you ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ set to Forrest Gump scenes. Why? Because I can. And I liked the FG scenes better than the other YouTube video of the song.
Really, no other title impressed itself upon me… so ‘Randomness’ it shall be.

So, I sent Tim on a wild goose chase for Risotta the other day. (Hard to find in South Alabama… who knew?) And after he found it… yeh, I never cooked it for him. (Bad wife, I know… shhh.)
But since I have it on hand now…I’m thinking of making this recipe for Mushroom Risotta tonight. Why? Eh, because I can. Sounds good? I got nothing.

Thanks to Uncle Dan, TJ found himself hooked on Invader Zim on his recent trip to Atlanta. Uncle Jeff found out and hooked the boy UP. Currently I am copying a few episodes at a time over to the iPrecious. The boys are both giddy with anticipation. Bless their little hearts. THEY ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!
So, while they waited, they wanted to share this clip. It’s absurdly silly and childish… and quite funny. (They’ve warped me… I love it.)

Yesterday on the way to Red Shoe I had four tweens trying to belt out ‘Popular’ from ‘Wicked‘. (Yup, you’re all over this post J, get over it… thanks for the soundtrack.) Only one girl actually knew the words (sorta), so it was quite amusing.
I love that they are into a musical. You have NO idea. I’ll listen to a musical over Jonas Brothers ANY day.
There is a cool looking musical theatre class over at Ballet Austin this summer. Hmmmmm. Might be good for my girl.

And finally…
Yesterday at the new house they were putting up the fence. And they also did the back splash. It’s looking good.
Tim is doing the walk through on Monday. And he has the trailer set for moving June 1st. Thanks for taking care of all the planning, Tim.
PS Tori and her BFF are off to serve chili at the Ninth annual Chili for Charity Cook-Off at Oak Hollow Farms. And then later this afternoon/tonight we’re going to catch the Mutts of Mystic Revelry parade/and the KOER parade in Fairhope. Fun packed day around here. –Yeh, I’m tired already!
Totally stole this from a friend’s blog because it made me smile. (I told you I would!)
Nothing much going on today. Tori is being a “Mother’s Helper” next door. (AKA known as let a mom with two young children take a nap and get a shower and not end up on the evening news for dropping off the said young children at the local pet rescue society.)
Meanwhile I’m working and cleaning (surprise, surprise!!) and the boys are busy trying to see who can get the first concussion of 2009. My bets are currently on TJ, for reference.
