Party City did not have a Pokemon piñata. Fine. See if that will stop me. We got a soccer ball one, I cut off the black bits and I have plans that involve me and spray paint and tape. Bwhahahahaha. *Edited to add: Tim came home from a Walmart run and declared he’d take care of it in the morning. It can be his morning project. Woohoo!

Cake. Oh, I am in trouble there. Remember, with Tommy’s food allergy we always have cake made at home. Well, someone (who shall remain nameless) helped me find a super cool Pokéball cake. And when Tommy saw that cake, all bets were off. That was THE cake he wanted. So now I’m spending time frantically reading online about covering cakes with rolled fondant. Seriously, what is wrong with me that I think I just whip one of these babies out of thin air? I’ve lost my mind.

Kids. Oy. So, we apparently picked the WORST time to have a party. Little League had to push their big opening day stuff from last weekend to this weekend. So far we have three kids coming to the party. (Well, four if you count Uncle Jeff ? ) I did already talk to Tommy about how we were going to have a great time even if only one friend showed. He put on a brave face and all… but I’m predicting tears later. — sigh —

House clean? Er… getting there?

Tim did make the yard totally presentable. Yay! We don’t have 3 foot white trash weed garden out back anymore. I thought maybe we could play a whole game about grass type Pokémon or some silliness like that. Tommy rolled his eyes at me when I put that idea forward.

So, instead we’ll have the old bouncy house (thanks for the loan, Mark), bubbles, water balloons and cake. Sound like a plan?

Hope so, because that is it.
